Ready to dive into your journal? Wondering what materials to use? Well don’t worry, I’ve tried a bunch and have come up with my favorite! You really can use anything from Crayola markers to #2 pencils, but if you want a little inspiration I’m here for you! If you click on the picture, it’ll bring you to a link.

Crayola Pearlescent Cream Sticks

An alternative to oil paints. A creamy, shiny, creamstick that’s blendable wet or dry. I love the shimmer and I LOVE that it doesn’t smudge!

Pilot Frixion Colors Erasable Stick Marker Pen

These are marker pens that you can erase! Amazing! They come in a bunch of colors and are great to create without being afraid to mess up.

Arteza Watercolor Pens

Don’t be like me, definitely read the directions! A great, easy way to watercolor. Blendable and I love the brush tip.

Mildliner Creative Markers

These are great multipurpose markers because they don’t bleed on thin pages like Bible pages. They last away and come in a bunch of colors. I also like the multiple tips.

Pigma Micron Pens

The original scrapbooking pens. If I’m writing letters or caption on the page, I use these bad boys and love them.

Acrylograph Pens

These are the fancy pens that everyone wants and makes you look like a super professional journal maker. Definitely take your journal to a cute coffee shop with these pens, order an iced latte, and journal your heart out.

Washi Tape

I’m a huge fan of Washi tape! They come in a billion colors and will add pop to any page. You can click on the picture for an Amazon link but really pick whatever colors match your vibe. I like the ones with the gold foil on them!
