Frequently Asked Questions
What are your counseling fees?
Let’s start with a free 15 minute phone consultation and get to know each other. Once we decide to start counseling, sessions will be prorated. Each 45 minute appointment will cost $120 and each 60 minute appointment will cost $160. If we feel it is best to have a 90 minute session, the rate will be $240. Cash, credit cards, and HSA/flex cards are accepted.
Do you take insurance?
I am considered out-of-network with all insurance providers. This is deliberate in order to tailor treatment to your needs and goals, such as how frequently we meet and for how long. This also provides freedom in what is discussed, rather than what topics will be covered by insurance. As another added benefit, my care and attention will be undividedly yours as I will not need to be in contact with insurance companies. I'm happy to provide you with a Superbill to submit for potential reimbursement with your insurance company.
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that life gets crazy. Unfortunately my calendar gets a little crazy as well. In order to see everyone seeking my services, it is imperative that I have notice of cancellations. As a courtesy to other clients and me, sessions that are cancelled 24-48 hours before the appointment will be charged 50% of the session fee. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours will be charged the full session fee.
What can I expect in my first appointment?
I have been to counseling myself as a client and know how daunting it can be! Hopefully after the free 15 minute consultation, you will feel more comfortable. The 15 minutes is a good time to discuss hardships, goals and questions. When we meet in person for our first official appointment, my desire is for you to feel comfortable, understood, and hopeful. We will dive deeper into your life and where I fit in.
